Our long-standing aspiration has been to specialize in distributing solutions in the field of industrial computers and automation. As usual, our company participated in the international Embedded World trade fair in Nuremberg, where we visited the booths of our key partners. This year, the booth of Aplex, whose products are highly popular among our clients, particularly caught our attention.
Aplex models are renowned in the market for their high quality, durability, and ability to withstand challenging conditions in manufacturing environments.
Here's a teaser of our report from the Aplex booth – you can find the full-length video report in the latter part of the article.
A novel addition at Aplex's booth was a panel computer designed for medical applications. Its primary role is to facilitate nurses' work. The computer can be mounted on a cart for easy mobility.
Equipped with a camera at the top of its housing, it allows for remote communication with doctors or family members. A barcode scanner located at the bottom of the housing enables quick access to a patient's record by scanning the code at their bed. The screen displays information about the patient's treatment, providing nurses with immediate access to essential data.
Next to the barcode scanner is an RFID card reader, which hospital staff can use to access functions assigned to their user profile.
In case of a power failure, and to enhance the device's mobility, the Aplex panel computer is powered by two easily replaceable batteries, offering approximately 5 hours of operation.
