LoRaWAN is one of the cornerstones of modern systems today - reliable, energy-efficient, long-range communications that connect sensors, controllers and master systems in a single, cohesive environment.
If you need a device that can easily extend the range of your RS485/Modbus RTU port by many kilometers - the Milesight UC100 is ready to go in as little as 24 hours from our warehouse in Gliwice, Poland.

Milesight UC100 is a compact LoRaWAN controller designed to transmit information wirelessly over an RS485/Modbus RTU interface, where LoRaWAN acts as a bridge, a range extender, but also an off-line controller in between wireless uploads.
It allows not only the collection of data from RS485 devices, but also their remote control - all without the need for a permanent connection to a server. The UC100 supports up to 16 slave devices, communicating with them autonomously.

In between transmissions to the LoRaWAN network, the UC100 autonomously performs programmed operations, ensuring continuity of communication and operation.

In addition to classic LoRaWAN operation, the UC100 also supports Milesight D2D (Device to Device) technology - that is, direct point-to-point communication with other Milesight devices without the need for a gateway or network server.
The UC100 can work both as a controller, where an RS485 port is used to control other devices, but it can also be a D2D agent and receive data using the same port. In this way, ultra-fast local response to changes in the environment is possible..
The device is configured via a USB-C port, which can also serve as a power supply. Alternatively, the UC100 can be powered from a serial port. The device features a small size (70 × 45 × 13 mm), a wide operating temperature range of -20°C to +60°C, and the ability to be easily mounted on a wall or in an industrial enclosure.
