Innodisk, a global leader in AI solutions, together with its subsidiary Sysinno, is launching state-of-the-art air sensor modules that set new standards in air quality monitoring for industrial, urban and health needs.
The new series of edge AI solutions is a response to the growing demand for precise, energy-efficient and easy-to-implement technologies in the smart city and industrial plant ecosystem.
New air sensor modules from Innodisk offer continuous, accurate monitoring of temperature, humidity and six key air quality indicators. The system detects the presence of particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM10), carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO₂), formaldehyde (HCHO), volatile organic compounds (TVOC) and ozone (O₃).
A key role in this functionality is played by specialised modules - such as the IAGM2, responsible for the precise measurement of particulate matter, which, thanks to its I²C interface and plug-and-play technology, allows instant integration into industrial systems.
The sensor operates reliably in a temperature range of -10°C to +50°C and in 15-90% humidity, offering fast response times and maintenance-free operation.
Thanks to their design suitable for embedded systems, the modules can be integrated effortlessly into industrial PCs (IPCs), edge servers or PCs.
Communication takes place via the I²C interface or via the dedicated EZU2-I301 board, a USB to I²C converter that supports all Sysinno sensors, including VOC, HCHO, CO2, CO, O3 and PM modules.
The board is equipped with a built-in humidity and temperature sensor, offers three independent I²C interfaces and operates over a wide temperature range from -40°C to +85°C. This makes it possible to implement sensors even in the most demanding industrial environments.
The use of original measuring heads from global manufacturers and refined computational algorithms ensures exceptional accuracy and repeatability of measurements.
An example is the IAGCO sensor, which is responsible for carbon monoxide detection. It offers high stability, long service life and full independence from external libraries - the data is processed directly on the chip, which does not affect the performance of the microcontroller.
The other modules have similar features: IAGCO2 to measure CO₂, IAGVOC to detect TVOC, and IAGO3 responsible for measuring ozone levels - all of which offer fast response times, low power consumption and seamless integration without the need for additional software.
Also worth mentioning is the IAGM1 module, specialising in formaldehyde detection - its wide operating range and stability make it ideal for health and commercial applications.
Thanks to their flexibility and reliability, Innodisk sensor modules can be successfully applied in many fields. In smart cities, they integrate perfectly into infrastructure such as light poles, electric vehicle charging stations or information kiosks, significantly enhancing their functionality. In hospitals and health centres, sensors contribute to improving air quality and overall environmental hygiene.
In industrial plants, the modules help to maintain optimal air conditions, supporting humidity management and the elimination of harmful substances - with direct implications for employee comfort and safety. Easy integration into existing systems and low power consumption make them an ideal choice for any operational environment.
Innodisk, combining its expertise in embedded systems with Sysinno's more than a decade of experience in air quality monitoring, has created a range of sensor modules that not only meet current market needs, but also address future environmental and health challenges. Implementing these solutions is a step towards better air, a higher quality of life and a more sustainable world.
