Kolejnet 2026 – industry meetings and technologies for modern railways

2026-02-08

On January 28-29, we participated in this year's edition of Kolejnet 2026 — an event that brought together representatives of the railway sector, integrators, operators, and suppliers of technologies dedicated to railway infrastructure and rolling stock.

An important element of the event was the conference accompanying the fair. The lecture program focused on issues related to the digitization of transport, infrastructure security, monitoring systems, communications, and the use of IoT and artificial intelligence solutions in the railway environment. It was a valuable space for discussions about real implementations, development directions, and challenges facing the industry.

During the trade fair, we presented selected hardware solutions dedicated to railway applications. The stand featured, among others, industrial embedded computers, platforms for vision systems, on-board computers that meet railway standards, and components supporting monitoring, passenger information, and communication systems. Solutions designed to work in harsh environmental conditions — resistant to vibration, wide temperature ranges, and unstable power supplies — attracted a lot of interest.

To complement the topics presented during the event, we are also sharing selected implementations and application concepts from our key technology partner, Axiomtek, which demonstrate the practical use of modern hardware platforms in the railway sector.

One area is systems that increase safety at stations. The use of image analytics supported by Edge AI enables automatic detection of events such as passenger falls, trespassing on tracks, or dangerous traffic congestion. Combined with IoT infrastructure and physical security systems, such as platform doors, this creates an environment that allows for real-time monitoring of the situation and rapid response by emergency services.

Another example is real-time track infrastructure monitoring solutions. The integration of cameras, sensors, and AI algorithms enables continuous analysis of track conditions, detection of anomalies, and rapid identification of potential hazards. Processing data directly on edge devices reduces response times and increases the reliability of surveillance systems.

Modern railways also involve communication with passengers. Passenger information systems, on-board computing platforms, and certified high-brightness monitors enable the display of dynamic messages, multilingual announcements, and integration with traffic control and timetable systems, improving travel comfort and service quality.

Participation in Kolejnet 2026 was primarily an opportunity for us to talk directly with the market, exchange experiences, and learn about the current needs of the sector. Thank you for all the meetings and inspiring discussions — see you at future industry events.
