The HT78Rxx devices are linear regulators with low quiescent current of 3μA typical and low dropout voltage, supporting a wide input operating voltage range from 2.5V to 20V. They are available with several fixed output voltages ranging from 1.5V to 5.0V and can supply a maximum output current of 500mA with an output voltage accuracy of ±2%. The devices also include internal protection circuitry to protect against over-current and over-temperature conditions, providing the necessary protection and high performance solutions for battery power systems.

The devices optimize the transient response characteristics to less than 10%, ensuring a constant output voltage to the applications when the input power supply or load current changes. These excellent features allow the new devices to replace the HT72xx, HT78Rxx, HT73xx and HT1015-1.

The devices are available in SOT-23-5 and SOT89 packages and support a minimum output capacitance of 1μF.
