Modern fleets, special vehicles and public transport today need not only efficient vehicles, but above all uninterrupted connectivity and immediate access to data. The answer to these requirements is the InHand VG710 – an advanced industrial-grade LTE and 5G gateway designed for vehicle applications. The device combines transmission speed, reliability and communication security, making it a key element of the Internet of Vehicles (IoV) infrastructure.
The InHand VG710 has been developed in accordance with the international standards ECE-R118, EN50155 and EN50121-3-2, which guarantee its resilience, stability and safety in demanding road and rail transport environments. This makes the gateway ideal for fleet vehicles, construction machinery, ambulances, police units and public transport, ensuring continuous communication and full control over data on the move.
The InHand VG710 offers lightning-fast data transmission thanks to LTE Cat 6 or 5G connectivity, enabling multiple devices to operate simultaneously in the vehicle. Dual-band 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi and four Gigabit Ethernet ports create a stable and fast internal network.

Two SIM slots with automatic switching ensure continuous communication even in demanding field conditions. Built-in security features – VPN, HTTP/SSH encryption and a firewall – protect data transmitted in real time, which is crucial in fleet applications and monitoring systems.
With a 72-channel GNSS system supporting GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and Beidou, the InHand VG710 gateway guarantees exceptional positioning accuracy.

In areas where satellite signals are unavailable, it is supported by inertial navigation (dead reckoning), which maintains continuous tracking of the vehicle's route even in tunnels, underground or in dense urban areas.
The VG710 LTE gateway integrates with OBD-II and J1939 buses, enabling real-time collection of vehicle diagnostic data. This allows you to detect faults, analyse engine performance and take preventive action.
The built-in 3D accelerometer and gyroscope enable monitoring of the driver's driving style – they detect sudden acceleration, sharp braking and collisions.
The InHand VG710 was designed for use in harsh transport conditions. Its IP64-rated enclosure, aluminium construction and ARM Cortex-A7 processor ensure resistance to vibration, dust, moisture and extreme temperatures from -30°C to +70°C. The device meets strict industry requirements, as confirmed by numerous certifications, including CE, FCC, E-Mark, ITxPT, PTCRB, RoHS and compliance with ECE-R118, EN50155, EN50121-3-2 standards.
The InHand VG710 gateway is not only a communication tool, but also a powerful computing node. Equipped with 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of Flash memory and support for Docker, Python SDK and C/C++, it enables edge computing without the need for a constant connection to the cloud.

With Node-RED Low-Code support and integration with Microsoft Azure IoT Edge, AWS IoT and other cloud platforms, the VG710 gateway enables you to create flexible, customised fleet and IoT solutions.
Integrated with cloud management systems, the InHand VG710 5G gateway enables route planning, task assignment, vehicle tracking, communication with drivers, and the definition of geofencing zones (areas where equipment can move within a defined area).
Data on location, technical condition and driving style of drivers is analysed in real time, which increases the efficiency, safety and transparency of the entire fleet.
The InHand VG710 is a versatile LTE and 5G gateway that combines the reliability of industrial hardware with the flexibility of software and edge computing power. Ideal for use in public transport, logistics and special vehicles, it enables the construction of intelligent fleet systems and the implementation of modern Internet of Vehicles solutions.
