The CAD2726 is a high-precision current shunt and power monitor designed for accurate measurement of current, voltage, and power in power management systems. It features an I²C interface compatible with the SMBus standard, providing easy integration with microcontrollers and energy monitoring applications.
The device measures both the shunt voltage drop and bus voltage, allowing direct readout of current (A) and power (W). With programmable calibration values, conversion times, and averaging options, the CAD2726 offers excellent flexibility for system optimization. An internal multiplier simplifies data handling, reducing the need for additional calculations on the host processor.
Equipped with a 16-bit Delta-Sigma ADC, the CAD2726 achieves exceptional precision with a maximum gain error of 0.1% and offset voltage as low as 10 μV. Support for up to 16 programmable I²C addresses enables multiple devices to operate on the same communication bus.
