BM22S3221-1 – Digital Electrochemical CO Detector Sensor
The BM22S3221-1 is a digital electrochemical sensor designed for the reliable detection of carbon monoxide (CO). When the CO concentration exceeds the factory-calibrated alarm threshold, the signal on the alarm pin (pin 5) switches from low to high level (default), allowing for easy integration into CO detector systems by simply providing power and monitoring the alarm output.
Each sensor is factory-calibrated to ensure consistent and accurate performance, with a default alarm threshold set at 180 ppm and a recovery point at 55 ppm. Both values are configurable based on application needs.
Key Features:
Sensor type: electrochemical
Operating voltage: 2.5 V – 5.0 V
Operating current: < 10 μA @ 3.0 V
UART interface, 9600 baud rate
CO detection range: 3 ppm – 1000 ppm
Alarm threshold: 180 ppm (default), exit alarm mode at 55 ppm (configurable)
Preheat time: 120 seconds (default, configurable)
Factory-calibrated (at 128 ppm) for consistent performance
Built-in fault detection
Alarm is triggered when CO concentration exceeds threshold for 5 seconds
Sensor lifespan: up to 10 years
Dimensions: 20 × 24 × 21 mm
Net weight: 7.8 g
The BM22S3221-1 is an energy-efficient and highly reliable CO detection solution, ideal for both residential and industrial safety applications requiring long-term accuracy and minimal power consumption.
