We have chosen ASUS as the supplier based on many years of experience in the B2B market, where we place great importance on reliability, predictability and product availability in the long run. ASUS Tinker Board computers are distinguished by a longer than the standard 3-year warranty for this type of equipment and a 5-year market availability. Tinker Board is equipped with a processor with higher performance as in competitive solutions and dedicated graphics support systems enabling video processing in up to 4K resolution. The central unit of the presented computer is a very efficient and modern quad-core Rockchip RK3288 processor. It is worth emphasizing here the compatibility with both the Android and Debian operating systems (Linux).
Thanks to the Mali-T754 graphics card based on the ARM Tinker Board architecture, it can be used, among others in high resolution multimedia playback, computer visualization, gesture recognition, face recognition etc.
As a standard, Tinker Board is equipped with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of fast eMMC memory (2x more as in competitive solutions) with the possibility of further expansion to 128 GB based on a microSD card. The use of SD 3.0 interface allowed to obtain a higher speed of writing-reading data from the memory card. Also, the size of the supported card (128GB) is twice as large as in competitive solutions.
A great emphasis was placed on mechanical durability in the construction of the computer, which is another important thing. An example of this is soldering RAM or eMMC memory on the board, which reduced the number of mechanical, moving connections and increased the reliability of the entire computer.
Tinker Board has been equipped by ASUS with a number of standard, extremely useful accessories, such as power supplies, mounting frames or embedded cases.
