Module pulse converters based on semi-conductor components have attracted enormous attention within the last two decades.
They constitute an attractive alternative for both consumer designers of IoT devices as well as for experts designing advanced systems for rail vehicles. Why? Thirty years ago designers had to individually design the converter power supply systems, perform electromagnetic compatibility and stability tests in different load conditions. It required the selection of appropriate cores and coils of pulse transformers. It is not easy to design such systems.
The Aimtec pulse converters we offer are ready-to-use systems which have been tested for EMC and behavior in different ambient conditions. Additionally, they meet the strict requirements of standards – e.g. medical or railway standards (EN50155). They ensure galvanic isolation and possibility of matching broad ranges of supply voltages (depending on the model). They display excellent performance, which predestines them for battery-powered systems.
Each converter is equipped with integrated short-circuit or overload protections. Additionally, some of them do not have derating in a broad range of temperatures. Therefore, they work efficiently both during arctic winters and extremely hot summers. Sealed chassis of selected models ensures dust-protection.

The video also presents a number of retrofit models, i.e. those that can be used for PCB to replace the EL30 core transformers without altering the path arrangement.
