Representatives from JM Electronics were present at the booth of their long-term business partner, Axiomtek, at the Embedded World trade fair. During the visit, they showcased not only the already known products available on their B2B purchasing portal but also many new devices that will soon be added to their offerings. A video material is available for viewing, providing a detailed account of the meeting at Axiomtek's booth. Below is a summary, with the full-length video report available in the article.
The Kiwi-310 is a highly successful and efficient mini single-board computer, designed specifically for POS applications and Digital Signage. Despite its small size, Axiomtek managed to equip it with a powerful Intel Celeron N3550 processor, integrated 9th generation Intel graphics, and 2/4GB LPDDR4 RAM soldered directly onto the board, enhancing the computer's reliability. The Kiwi-310 offers extensive expansion capabilities, with connectors for wireless communication cards/modems or the Intel Movidius Myriad X Vision AI accelerator, transforming the computer into a fully-fledged device for AI-based applications. Notably, it features a 40-pin GPIO connector on the side for connecting sensors or small displays with an I2C interface, also supporting the UART standard.
MK from JM Electronics also highlighted larger SBC (single-board computer) models in 2.5” and 3.5” sizes, emphasizing Axiomtek's aim to provide a complete portfolio of sizes and architectures for single-board computers.
Axiomtek has assembled a dedicated section for computers and displays for transportation applications, featuring their best offerings.
MK: "Axiomtek has a comprehensive set of solutions for transportation-related applications. Devices dedicated to these applications are certified with EN50155 and EN50124, essential for railway industry operations. Additionally, standards like OVP, UVP, OCP, and RPP are employed in computers and displays, making them suitable for both road and rail transportation."
One of the key sections of Axiomtek's booth was dedicated to well-known industrial automation computers. JM Electronics' B2B purchasing portal features a range of Axiomtek products dedicated to automation applications.
Quoting MK: "In our opinion, the most important aspects of computers for industrial automation are safety, data transmission speed, and a wide operational temperature range."
